Meet the staff of Clover Vet! Our veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and office staff are
committed to giving you and your pet the best experience possible every time you visit our clinic.

Dr. Gretchen Love Veterinarian & Owner

Dr. Love lives in Lake Wylie, SC. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and received her veterinary degree from Tuskegee University in 2000. She has 2 children, Mary Morgan and J (short for James IV). She married Billy Bolin in June 2013 and has 2 stepdaughters, Kendall and Erin. She has a dog named Breeze who comes to work with her every day. She is a huge Gamecock fan along with the entire staff (coincidence and not a job requirement!). She enjoys traveling, boating, camping, fishing, hunting, and almost any activity that involves the outdoors. She is known for her energy and long-winded conversations with clients and staff. Sometimes we have to drag her out of the rooms!

Dr. Ashley Funderburk

Dr. Ashley Funderburk lives in Lancaster, SC. She received her undergraduate degree from Clemson University in Animal Science and her veterinary degree from Tuskegee University in 2015. She loves dachshunds! She has one old lady dachshund named Ethel and another one named Baxter, a rat terrier/cocker spaniel mix named Roscoe, and a cat named Margo. She is a huge Clemson fan (Go Tigers!). In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts and spending time with her friends and family. She is excited to join this amazing team!

Trudy Selzer Receptionist & Office Manager

Trudy lives in York, SC. She has been working with Dr. Love since opening our doors in 2008. She fits right in with her bubbly personality and her enthusiasm for Gamecock football. She has been married to Steve for over 42 years. She has two sons, Luke and Dustin, and 2 daughters-in-law named Mandy and Kera. She has been blessed with 4 grandkids. She loves to play golf in her spare time. She has a dog, Chloe. She is our head receptionist and handles all our office management. She is known for knowing everyone (or treating everyone like she has known them for years!). Clients can always recognize her by her contagious laugh.

Jody True, Veterinary Health Technician

Hi, my name is Jody, born and raised in Oregon. I’ve been in veterinary medicine since 1996 and still love it. In Oregon, I started working with exotics but learned quickly I don’t care for snakes, at all. So I stuck with horses, dogs, and cats. Met my husband Daren in 2003, got married in 2004, we moved to the south in 2009 and it’s been an adventure since then. We have 2 blue heelers, Beckett and Bear, and have fostered many breeds and species of animals. I do believe my husband has caught on after all these years: “We will foster until we find a home…” Bear was a foster.

Katrina, Veterinary Health Technician

Hello, I’m Katrina. I was born in Ukraine and adopted at the age of 3. While I’ve called Lake Wylie home for as long as I can remember, I recently moved to York, SC, and I absolutely love it here! I joined the veterinary field in 2019, and I’m proud to say I’m now a licensed veterinary technician. At home, I share my life with 3 cats and a sweet pitbull/husky mix named Libby. My heart has a special place for the feline friends who visit our clinic. I’m excited to get to know you and your beloved fur babies!

Bonnie, Veterinary Health Technician

Hey there, I’m Bonnie – your friendly neighborhood vet tech with a whopping 18 years of experience under my belt. Hailing from Dallas, NC, I migrated to the charming town of Clover, SC in 2021, with my loving husband and a trio of spirited daughters. When I’m not taking care of furry patients, I’m managing a house full of life, including a wise old tabby cat who’s seen it all in her 17 years, and an English bulldog named Ripley who thinks she’s the boss of the household. I’m happy to be a part of the Clover Vet family and I can’t wait to take care of your fur babies!

Hospital Mascot

Meet breeze, our hospital mascot! 5 years ago, a man walked into our clinic, put down 2 lab puppies, and walked out. Dr. Love had been looking for a dog for quite a while and knew immediately that her search had ended. Breeze went home with Dr. love and her brother lives with Dr. love’s niece and nephew. Breeze has the sweetest disposition and loves everyone, human and animal alike! She has comforted sick and recovering pets after surgery and procedures and has been known to sneak up front to say “hello” to everyone in our waiting area.
